In late 2006, Magmic lead designer Wes Tam was given a challenge: Take a classic video game, make it mobile, and make it cool. Wes spent hundreds of days on the project, in the end making two versions of the game - one a true replica of the original; the other, a brand new game, tweaked for today's mobile devices and built to suit the appetite of today's gamers.

For the new Miner 2049er, Wes turned to his brother Allen for concept sketches. These first pictures would serve Wes well as he developed the look and feel of the new Miner 2049er. Then it was time to take it digital, time to figure out what Bounty Bob would look like on a handheld.
